Dave Cotterell

Dave Cotterell is a Pickleball England Level 2 Coach based in Stratford-upon-Avon, operating on a full-time basis and offering a comprehensive range of coaching options for players at every stage of their development. Courses cover beginner through to intermediate level, with dedicated sessions on strategy and tactics, as well as one-to-one and one-to-two private sessions. A key feature of Dave's coaching setup is access to one of the latest ball machines, allowing players to receive a consistent feed of balls to refine and develop their strokes.

Coaching sessions take place across two court environments: traditional sports centre courts with wooden floors and a dedicated pickleball facility on an acrylic surface. Dave's coaching approach places a strong emphasis on detail and understanding, helping players grasp not just what to do, but why, equipping them with the tools for self-diagnosis and continued improvement beyond the session.

In addition to on-court coaching, Dave offers two classroom-based courses covering topics best taught away from the court, giving players a thorough understanding of the game to help them move to the next level. Video analysis is also available for players looking to review their performance in a recent match, with analysis offered for an individual player or all players on the court.
