Drill Set Up
Requires 6+ players.
Split the group in half, with one half on one side of the court and the other half on the other side.
How to run it
If there is a coach, they feed the ball to start play; otherwise, either player can feed the ball to start the rally.
After a player hits the ball, they immediately run to the other side of the court and join the back of their line.
The organiser/coach decides the direction everyone runs.
Players must hit only one shot before running to the other side.
A player is eliminated if they:
Hit the ball into the net.
Hit the ball outside the court.
Hit two shots in a row.
Let the ball bounce twice.
Play continues until only 3 players remain.
With 3 players left, the side with only one player plays the entire rally on their own, while the side with two players remaining alternates shots.
Once it comes down to the final 2 players, they play a 1v1 rally, and whoever wins the point wins the drill.
Coaching Points
Since players must hit only one shot and immediately move, quick decision-making and shot discipline are essential.
Staying aware of the running direction set by the coach helps keep the rotation smooth and avoids collisions.
