SHARP Pickleball

SHARP Pickleball is a community pickleball club based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The club launched in 2024 and grew from a small social group into a busy local club with social play, training, matchplay, ladder sessions, club events and competitive teams. The club started as a group of friends looking for something active and social to do when golf was off due to the weather. Since then, SHARP has grown quickly and now brings together players of different ages, backgrounds and playing levels.

Their main venue is: Batchwood Golf & Sports Centre, Batchwood Drive, St Albans, AL3 5XA Current SHARP sessions include: Tuesday, 12pm to 2pm, Training with Diya Tuesday, 2pm to 4pm, SHARP Club Social Session Wednesday, 8pm to 10pm, DUPR rated matchplay session Thursday, 8pm to 10pm, Social and Recreational Pickleball Thursday, 8pm to 10pm, B Team Training Sunday, 10am to 12pm, Sunday Fun Session Sunday, 10am to 12pm, C Team Training

SHARP also has a growing competitive side, with A, B and C teams, league matches, fixtures, results and regular club updates. A big part of SHARP is the community side of the club. We run weekly Parkinson’s pickleball sessions and have also supported sessions for adults with learning disabilities. We are also proud of our charity work. Our Pickleball Bonanza raised over £15,500 for Parkinson’s UK and the Chilterns Neuro Centre, with players, volunteers and local supporters coming together for the event.

At the moment, membership and the waiting list are closed while the club reviews capacity and playability for current members. Updates are shared through our website, Instagram and Facebook.
