Pickleball Lambeth
Pickleball Lambeth is a community group based in South London, open to all ages and abilities and recognised as one of the most diverse pickleball clubs in London. Founded by Emmanuel, Steve and Howard, all three of whom serve as County Reps for Pickleball England, the club has grown to around 300 members and places inclusivity at the heart of everything it does.
The club's core aim is to bring together players from a wide range of ages, backgrounds and communities across South London, creating a space where pickleball becomes a means of connection and belonging. For many members, the club offers more than just a sport. It's a way to meet people from similar or different backgrounds who share a passion for staying active and being part of a community.
Pickleball Lambeth works closely with Active Lambeth to offer sessions across leisure centres in the borough, and runs taster sessions in schools as part of curriculum-based activity. The club's impact extends further through its charitable foundation, Lambeth Pickleball: Pickleball for All, which uses pickleball as a tool for learning, coordination and social mobility in diverse inner-city schools across South London. The foundation's programmes have proven particularly valuable for children from neurodiverse backgrounds, offering structured and engaging physical activity, and for those from underrepresented socioeconomic backgrounds, providing access to a sport that might otherwise be out of reach.
