East London Pickleball Club

East London Pickleball was born out of a torrentially rainy day on a pickleball retreat in Spain, when best friends Josh and Olu began making plans to bring the sport to East London. Two months later, after many emails, phone calls and court hire challenges, the club opened its doors. In its first week it gained over 50 members, and one year on the club has grown to over 400 members, establishing itself as one of London's most vibrant and fast-growing pickleball communities.

The club runs structured weekly sessions with a clear purpose to each day. Tuesday evenings 19:00 - 21:00 are dedicated to game play, Thursday evenings 19:00 - 21:00 to training, Friday evenings 19:00 - 21:00 and Sunday mornings 10:00 - 12:00 to free junior sessions combining pickleball with Wallball. Members enjoy regular games, training, tournaments and a guaranteed dose of fun, the club prides itself on ensuring nobody goes home without a good laugh.

East London Pickleball is led by Olu, a qualified pickleball coach who plays three to five times a week and has won multiple medals in tournaments around the country. Josh, who co-founded the club and ran it alongside Olu until July 2025, remains a regular presence, leading training sessions, coaching and specialist clinics as well as pickleball retreats in Malta. Both Josh and Olu are available for private coaching.
