The Inner Pickle Tournament takes place at Quinton House, Upton Lane, Northampton, NN5 4UX, offering two open tournaments across the day for players of all levels and abilities aged 18 and above.
The morning tournament runs from 09:30 - 13:00 and the afternoon tournament from 13:30 - 17:00. Players may enter either or both tournaments. Each tournament follows a rotating partner doubles format, with players registering individually and paired with a different partner in each game against different opponents. Partners and schedules are created via random selection in a format similar to Swiss style.
Each player is guaranteed a minimum of six matches across a league phase, with 16 players progressing to a single elimination knockout stage beginning at the quarter final. Progression is determined by highest aggregate score, followed by number of wins, draws and points differential. Players eliminated from the knockout stage may have the opportunity for recreational games at the tournament director's discretion and subject to time.
All matches will be played using Franklin X40 balls.
The entry fee is £15.00 per person, with refunds subject to terms and conditions. Full tournament terms and conditions will be available to review as part of the registration process.
The venue offers free on-site parking, air conditioning, changing rooms and toilets, a free water refill station, player rest areas and outdoor green space.
