Ian Walkley

As county representative for Gloucestershire it is my ambition to develop a structure to pickleball at county level. I started pickleball Gloucestershire in March 2025 which has run a couple of tournaments and the first edition of the Gloucestershire pickleball league which was really successful. The natural progression to make coaching available in the county has been a priority for me so I have completed PbE Leaders certificate to be able to introduce new players to pickleball and the PbE level 1 coaching qualification to help clubs, small groups and individuals to develop and improve their skills and game management.

I have taught further education – skills based and have coached ladies cricket in previous years. I currently hold an enhanced DBS check, first aid certificate and safeguarding policies ensuring that I am fully covered by the PbE coaching public liability insurance and well as club insurance. I look forward to continuing this journey and doing my best for this fantastic sport by offering quality coaching programmes. I have access to a titan ball machine for quality drills and accurate feeding as well as access to suitable venues.
